Dr Kennedy is a practice partner and specialises in sexual health and end of life care. She comes from Preston and trained in Leeds to become a doctor, she then joined the medical centre in 1994. Her hobbies are water skiing, climbing and scuba diving.

Dr Nair specialises in cardiology and diabetes. He did his schooling in India, and then went to medical school in Belarus. He has since worked in hospitals in Leeds before joining the medical centre in 2012. His hobbies include cycling, badminton, cricket and he has an interest in cars.

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are registered nurse who have undertaken a specific course of study of at least first degree level. They make professionally autonomous decisions for which they are accountable for. They make assessments of patient healthcare needs, based on highly developed nursing knowledge and skills, including skills not usually exercised by nurses such as physical examinations. They provide treatment individually, as part of a nursing team, and through referral to other agencies.

Specialises in geriatrics and end of life care. Jo overseas the care of our patients in the Nursing/Care/residential homes and some patients within the community.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
